This Privacy Policy covers all public use of this website and may be updated as new sections become available for use. This information is dated and we advise that you check on a regular basis for updates. This version dated 23rd November 2009 Our Priority in this Privacy Statement Our highest priority is the protection and privacy of our Boys' Brigade members. Names and personal details will never be published on the public area of our website without the express permission of the parents / guardians of the member. Every effort will be made to protect these details within our Secure Members Section when it becomes available for use. The protection offered by this policy will remain in place even after your child has become an adult at the age of 18 - unless they choose to become a Leader within the Company at which time we require this information to be made public for the safety and protection of current members. When this situation occurs, the details of the person will be shown in the leaders section, (link at left) Photographs In accordance with tha above main policy, we will never publish individual pictures of our members without the written permission of the parent or guardian. However we may include on the website photographs with a group of two or more current boys visible in the frame. Names are always excluded from captions and descriptions of Group photographs except where such permission has been granted as above. Parents or Guardians may choose to exclude their child from all group photographs by supplying Leaders with written confirmation explicitly stating as such. Photographs of Ex-Members within the public area of the website will also comply with the above policy on group and individual shots including the absence of names and other details without express permission. An exception to this is Leaders past and present who are shown in pictures and these are named in both individual and group photographs. Personal Details The only personal details which we will collect from you are the details that YOU supply to us using one of our Contact Forms. We only require your email address in order to reply to your query and this may also be needed to register for some of the additional services provided via this site. We will never send unsolicited spam to your email address. We may email you with important website updates, for example when the Members Section Functions become available for use. We will never share your personal details with a third party outside of the Boys' Brigade Company. No personal details are held on this website or the servers used to provide the information presented Cookies Most websites use Cookies for various reasons. Cookies used on this server are not used in any way to track visitors. These use is solely for the speed of reloading pages as the visitor navigates around the site. All cookies are abandoned once you the user leaves the site and closes your browser window.
