By the act of applying for membership and being accepted all members are deemed to agree to pledge themselves -
As a member of PhilaPro I promise I will recognize my public obligations as set down in this Code of Ethics.

Code of Ethics
- I agree to support and be governed by the Constitution and Bylaws of PhilaPro and any amendments, resolutions, and policies that may be established
- I agree to abide by all laws relating to philatelic matters
- I agree to correct promptly any error I may make in any transaction
- I agree to bring known examples of irresponsible or unethical tactics to the attention of the directors and agree that this information may be shared with other societies that have the same principles
- If I should be found guilty of unethical or unlawful conduct, the record thereof may be disclosed to other philatelic societies
- As a dealer -
To purchase and sell philatelic material at reasonable and fair prices
- Not to knowingly deal in or hold stocks of stolen philatelic material
- Not to knowingly deal in counterfeit philatelic material except where I have publicly and clearly stated that the item(s) for sale is counterfeit;
- To provide buyers of my material on request with a written description which, to the best of my knowledge, accurately and completely, describes the condition and specification of the item(s) for sale
- To be truthful in all my dealings with sellers and buyers and in all my advertising and my displays of philatelic material
- When requested, to give customers advice on philatelic matters which, to the best of my knowledge is correct, and to not to make false or misleading statements
- To refer the customer to another source of information, when the matter is not in my area of knowledge or expertise
- To publicly guarantee a full refund of the purchase price of any philatelic material sold whenever a customer expresses dissatisfaction with the material supplied - (wihtin 14 days of purchace)
- As a collector -
to honour any trades that you enter into
- To notify the association of any problems that may be encountered either in trades, swaps or when buying from a dealer
- To give the other trader / dealer fair chance to rectify the situation in the case of errors
- To comply with any statements above for dealers that apply, such as those relating to stolen and faked items
