At the request of fellow collectors - we have added a section titled
On this day in Philatelic History.

This provides details related to todays date - and the information displayed changes every day. We have some dates where details are still not avaliable - and would request members and visitors to send any details they feel should be added using the email link on the home page.

The Land Registry archive extended to 1966

The stolen / missing items section has been updated

The first items of the Land Registry files are now online.
These cover 1963 - 1965

We have obtained copies of the entire Land Registry file, (095/19), which related to these revenue stamps and their sale in Post Offices. We are getting the items into order and these will be placed in the members area.

This is the only official online archive of these files

Some posters added to the Research for Schools section.

Some code changes made to the navigation of the site which will make future updates easier to put in place.

The Research for Schools section updated.
8 October 2009
A new section titled "Research for Schools" has been added.

This will provide school children with scanned images of newspapers, posters and various other items for use in their school projects. This was suggested by members with the aim being that as a society we should be helping the younger generation and that this in turn could lead to more more becoming collectors in the future.

The full contents of the Research for Schools area is also avaliable from the members area once you log in.

Navigation links have been added to the bottom of each article page which will allow the user to go directly to the next item without returning to the main notice board page

This should resolve issues where some users have to copy and paste the email address into their own email application. Once this has been checked and any problems have been resolved we will extend this type to the application form.

A section on how and why PhilaPro was formed added to the bottom of
the about us page

Following suggestions from members, a menu style site map has been added

A reduced rate for two years membership fees has been included. This can be found on the pay online section

Links on the chat section are now fully intergrated with the site

The philatelic links sections from the chat and the main site are now combined, making a single list. This will make it easier to maintain, with all the information being in one place.

The links section now has its own icon on the main page and also has a link to an online list recommended by members

A section for reference books and stock books etc has been added
Details will be posted once we have something confirmed

PhilaPro certificates have started to be listed
This will be a slow task but should provide useful reference

Translation links added to the home page for French, Spanish and Italian

Our new registered logo adopted across the site

Following talks with members it was decided that ...

1 members names and country would be shown on the site until it was agreed what other details should be shown and where these should be placed
2 That the main page should be displayed with the icons in line and text links / descriptions below. This is now in place.

Following information supplied by members, the list of philatelic events has been updated and a direct link added on the home page

We also welcome Charles Falkner as a director and Wendy Letsome as our first female member

The chat area was added to the PhilaPro website.
Banners and links on the chat were adapted to become part of the new intergrated site. Redirection links were put in place for those using bookmarked entries.

The PhilaPro website was placed in its new location and the web address pointed to the new location.

This website was placed online in a temporary location so that new members who had helped to establish PhilaPro could look at the site and email suggestions regarding the development.

At this time this site is not avaliable for public viewing
